The modulus of elasticity, also known as Young’s modulus (E), is the ratio of stress to strain within the elastic region of deformation. It measures a material’s stiffness or resistance to elastic deformation.

A higher modulus indicates a stiffer material. Modulus of elasticity is essential for deflection and stress analysis calculations.
